GRANTS/
SCHOLARSHIPS
Grants are provided through a pool of funds set up by generous donors in our community. We provide funding and create connections between community-minded nonprofits and the resources they need. Together, we’re a community catalyst that inspires ideas and ignites action.
New Braunfels Community Foundation celebrated the Scholarship Recipients of 2026 at the Spring Scholarship Social on May 6 at McKenna Events Center with 110 scholarships awarded for a total of more than $350,000.

The New Braunfels Community Foundation scholarship program helps local youth or adults pursue their dreams of furthering their education.
NBCF matches caring donors with deserving students who want to continue their studies at colleges, universities, trade or technical schools. The scholarship program is created for individual donors who set up specific criteria for the administration of their funds.
NBCF fields all applicants, filters those applicants based on criteria set up by the donor, and administers and monitors scholarship grants. This is a much easier, less expensive way for donors to make a difference in a student’s life.
If you are interested in creating a scholarship fund, please contact NBCF
at nbcommunityfoundation1@gmail.com or (830) 606-9536.
Volunteer scholarship evaluators are able to evaluate, score and submit reviews online via a scholarship management program, at their discretion, within the given deadline. Volunteers conduct evaluations at their leisure, anywhere they have a computer.
If you have a background in education or scholarship application reviews and are interested in serving as an evaluator, we would love to hear from you. Contact us at (830) 606-9597 or betty@nbcommunityfoundation.org.

Got a question about scholarships? We are here to help. Check out the FAQs, or feel free to contact us at (830) 606-9536 or send your questions to Betty Taylor, at nbcommunityfoundation1@gmail.com

This is our “Don’t Forget” section. Here are some reminders before you click “Submit” on your scholarship application.

Creating a scholarship fund is one way to support future community leaders and provide education support in perpetuity.
Scholarship funds can be set up according to the donor’s wishes within IRS guidelines and can help students pursue careers in the medical field, music, fine arts, teaching, accounting, engineering, nursing, vocational and more.
