The Germania Farmer Verein (German Farmer’s Club) was established in 1875 as a social and benevolent organization.
Today the Verein has approximately 350 members and is an active sponsor in Comal County’s local scholarship program and they have awarded many scholarships to deserving young adults in the area.
Requirements
The Germania Farmer Verein Scholarship is offered by the Germania Farmer Verein Club and is open to students who:
- Are current high school graduating seniors
- Demonstrate financial need
While not required, priority will be given to students who are:
- Pursuing studies (vocational or academic) in agriculture
- Involved in FFA or 4-H activities
- Of German heritage
- Have a family member who is member of Germania Farmer Verein
