New Braunfels Parks Foundation Fund

Cities and towns across the U.S. are known for their grand public places and great parks. The New Braunfels Parks Foundation’s mission is to promote, protect and enhance the parks system of the City of New Braunfels through education, resource development and community partnerships. Our hope is that our great public places and parks remain special for today and future generations.

Established in 2005, the New Braunfels Parks Foundation (NBPF) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, all-volunteer organization. The NBPF works with the City of New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department to advocate and raise funding to help the city create the best parks possible. Donations received by the NBPF support the New Braunfels Parks and Recreation parks system and programs. To date, the NBPF has raised more than $900,000 to support park projects, endeavors and community-based programs. Each of these projects ultimately benefit individuals and families from all sectors of the community. Some of these activities include:
• Construction of JAWS Skatepark
• Landa Lake Gazebo Renovation
• Puppy Playland Dog Park Construction
• Das Rec Scholarship Fund
• Prince Solms Park Disc Golf Improvements
• Market Plaza Enhancements
• Lindheimer Plaza Improvements
• Wading Pool Pedestrian Bridge Improvements
• Fischer Park Amenities
• Landa Park Mini Golf Renovation
• CycloVIVA! Event Support

Funds raised to support these endeavors come from signature events such as the Annual Wein & Saengerfest and Dos Rios Splash and Dash 5K. In addition, the New Braunfels Parks Foundation has held undeveloped land in trust for the City until funds or plans have been identified for development.
