Since the group’s first grant season in 2018, the giving circle has awarded more than a half million dollars to area nonprofits. The grand total amounts to $570,000.
NB Women GO offers different membership levels which carry different voting weights. The unique voting aspect of the group means a $250 (vote per category); $500 (two votes per category); $750 (three votes per category) or $1,000 (four votes per category) membership carries a much bigger exponential impact.
Each spring, during a live grant voting event, members vote to award grants to qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit applicants. NB Women GO provides a unique way for the women to pool their annual membership donations to make a bigger impact with their charitable giving.
In 2025, members awarded nine $10,000 grants and one $6,500 grant in the Special Technology category.
In addition, in partnership with the New Braunfels Community Foundation, the NB Women GO Leadership Team makes recommendations to the NBCF Board of Directors for two Frances Long Fund grant recipients. The Frances Long Fund was set up to support local nonprofits providing outreach programs to women, children and men who are victims of abuse, and/or local nonprofits improving the quality of life in New Braunfels and the Comal County area.
