Members of NB Women GO, a women’s giving organization, will be voting on which seven nonprofits will receive an $8,000 grant on April 13 at McKenna Events Center. The live grant voting event allows members to pool their donations and make a greater impact in the community through collective giving.
The women’s giving circle with New Braunfels Community Foundation formed in late 2017. Members are united by a common purpose – to make a difference in the lives of others by giving back in the community
To date, NB Women GO has awarded more than $170,000 in grants to 20 local nonprofits in the past three years helping 501 (c) (3) organizations provide food, clothing, shelter, education, medical services, preservation and arts in our community. Grants are awarded on an annual basis. This is the fourth granting year for NB Women GO.
Members will be viewing videos submitted by nonprofits and will be casting their ballots in seven grant categories:

- Arts/Culture
- Education
- Family Services – Adult
- Family Services – Children
- Health and Wellness – Adult
- Health and Wellness – Children
- Housing and Sustainability
The nonprofit winner in each category is announced on the evening of April 13.
Those who are still interested in joining NB Women GO can still sign up at one of four different membership levels. Each level offers a different grant voting weight. The four levels include:

- $1,000 – Grant voting weight 4
- $750 – Grant voting weight 3
- $500 – Grant voting weight 2
- $250 – Grant voting weight 1
