CASA of Central Texas

Every day in this country, 1,900 children become victims of abuse or neglect, and four of them will die. Every day. CASA of Central Texas advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system, in schools, and in the community by recruiting, training and supporting dedicated volunteers.

CASA of Central Texas was formed in 1985 by concerned community members and became affiliated with the national CASA model developed by a family court judge. We had 18 volunteers in our first year. We now have 240 volunteer advocates who serve more than 400 children each year.

However, more than 350 children in Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe and Hays Counties still need a CASA. We believe that every child deserves a voice, 100%. CASA stays with children until they are out of foster care, placed in loving permanent homes. For many abused children, a CASA volunteer is the only constant adult presence in their lives. You can advance the cause of child welfare in Central Texas by volunteering or donating to CASA. Thank you for making a difference!
