MARTY LINDLEY FOUNDATION FUND

The Marty Lindley Foundation was created on September 1st, 2013, in consideration of Marty’s medical prognosis by her MD Anderson surgeons, after her fifth surgery for leiomyosarcoma cancer. To honor God, the foundation encourages the support of the New Braunfels area medical community and the research to develop a cure for leiomyosarcoma cancer. The Marty Lindley Foundation supports the New Braunfels Volunteers In Medicine Clinic and the Adult Sarcoma Research Center at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. The foundation may also seek to inform sarcoma patients of the importance of receiving medical treatment at a cancer center specializing in sarcoma cancer. Additionally, the foundation may contribute to other health and wellness non-profit organizations.

Jeff Lindley, MLF Chair, said, “As a newly established foundation, the MLF has applied to become a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Since June, our many supporters have donated over $65,000. The Foundation is a great responsibility. The NBACF offers the MLF a unique opportunity to expose our foundation to a whole other realm of potential philanthropist/donors. The Board understands the NBACF also helps perpetuate the Mission and Purpose of the MLF, by assuring future monies will be available to donate to our perpetual non-profits, the New Braunfels Volunteers In Medicine Clinic and the Adult Sarcoma Research Center at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
